Tevez scores again- United beat Wigan!

Carloz Tevez has scored another important goal for the Red-devils as they charge to take a second successive league title and stretch away from Liverpool. Coming on in the 58th minute, Tevez scored 11 minutes later to draw back the game to a 1-1 scoreline.

Things were in the balance as Wigan went into the half time break leading 1-0. Steve bruce knew it would be no easy task to hold the red-devils and so the 2nd half barrage began.

Tevez scored in the 58th minute and Carrack put the final Nail in the Coffin in the 86th minute to hand united the 2-1 victory. Cristiano Ronaldo was not subbed this time, it would have been a sight to see his reaction if he was.

Utd march on now, very close from claiming the title again!

Magpies have the edge over Boro

Newcastle have not had a win at home since December last year, beating the Spurts 2-1. But since then boro have lost to each of the top 4 and drawn with, Everton, West Ham , Sunderland and Pompey. Still without a win at St James is park, it seems like the odds are in the magpies favour with Boropointless on the road this year!

It looks like its going to be a draw! It will be of little benefit of each team, both will be on the for 3 pointz!

The bbq crew says lay Boro! Or bet on the draw @ 3,45!

2009 AFL Premiership Odds update

Have the Cats further made their mark on September with a convincing win over Sydney without the man himself, Gary Ablett.  The BetBBQ Crew loves an outsider but who can stop a team that is travelling so well and playing so consistently with so many options?

Could the Bombers come to spoil the party? With a host of scalps including, Carlton, Hawthorn and Collingwood the Bombers should not be taken lightly, being competitive in all of there losses and sitting 4th on the ladder. Maybe its to early to start yellin St. Kilda but they did have a solid season last year and we all remember that Geelong had a solid season two years back where Sydney beat them in the dying seconds of the game!

Its all on for young and old but one thing we can agree on, the cats simply have to be favourites for the flag.

Here is the Updated odds, this time from Betfair.

GEELONG $2.18
HAWTHORN $7.60
ST KILDA $5.50
WESTERN BULLDOGS $15
COLLINGWOOD $21
CARLTON $22
PORT ADELAIDE $26
ADELAIDE $80
SYDNEY $75
BRISBANE $70
ESSENDON $55
RICHMOND $200
WEST COAST $150
NORTH MELBOURNE $110
FREMANTLE $55
MELBOURNE $990

St Kilda remain firm at $5.50 still undefeated, and playing at Etihad this Monday we believe this will be the case. “The docklands” has always been a fortress for St Kilda and in their current form should dispose of an inconsistent collingwood!

We will keep you posted on the odds with regular updates!

But with the Cats so short, is it time to be fishing for value?

Fulham Charge for Europe

This time last year Fulham were down and out and trying to stage some form of comeback to survive top flight football for yet another season. We all know whaty happened and the Mighty Whites provailed making it through on goal difference, what a escape it proved to be.

Now it is May 2009 and suddenly has the tables have turned. The whites are playing beuatiful fluent football passing and moving with ease, working as a well constructed and formed unit, Roy Hodgson has worked miracles. With two games left, Fulham sit seventh, which could just be enough to enable the Whites a chance at european Glory.

With a big fixture next weekend against relegation bound newcastle it will certainly be a hard fough three points. At this stage there are still a few teams  in the chase for that 7th position including, West Ham, Man City, Spurs and it seems it will come down to the wire.

If the whites can get a result this saturday then the odds could be in their favour against the toffees on the final saturday of the season. Everton will be resting players for the FA CUP Final and with so many injury concerns and 6th spot stiched up, confidence will be high at Fulham.

We say Bring on Europe and Come on Fulham!

Bashed Up Everton no Match for Tottenham

The Spurs have europa league in site and in short the toffees simply have bigger fish to fry. With sixth position practically stiched up, Everton are focussed on MAY 30TH where the Wembley dream could be a reality and there could be some silverware on the ” right side of Merseyside”

Lay the toffees this weekend!
